Tours (rhymes with why not), a New York corporation headquartered
in Garden City, Long Island, 25 miles from New York City, was
founded as a luxury travel company in 1970. They create
one-of-a-kind vacations for groups and individuals and believe
that personal attention to their customers is essential. Lynott
Tours counts more than 6,500 travel agencies, numerous museums,
historical societies and corporations throughout the world as
loyal clients. Among the thousands of satisfied passengers who
have traveled with Lynott over the years are such prestigious
names as United Life Insurance, Santa Barbara Museum of Art,
Lehigh Historical Society, Maine Audubon Society, and the Belleek
Collectors' Society, among many others. |

Historically, Lynott used a
web-based DOS interface to compile itineraries for quotes to
their customers. Navigation, employing multiple users, editing
of rates and standards, among other uses always proved
cumbersome. The lack of technical support availability forced
Lynott to seek out alternatives. |
Isun provided Lynott with a customized version of it's Tour Guide software. Designed for wholesale tour operators and able to work cross platform and expandable up to 250 users, the solution allows for creating, editing, listing, and otherwise manipulating records for nearly all aspects of creating a quote, itinerary, and other travel documents for Groups and FITs whether they require a package deal or a complete custom tour. A web version is currently under development and being tested at Lynott!

Internal marketing and art departments
at ICSC produce literature, announcements and brochures for some 400
projects during the course of a year. Prior systems such as PO’s,
schedules, and internal communications were maintained on Excel and
Word among other programs. Everything needed to be created and
maintained manually. |
ISUN created a
system within which data entered for various functions such as
Print Estimates and Purchase Orders could be utilized for multiple
levels of information such as Production Reports, Master Schedules,
Cost Reports, Internal Tracking Systems, Budget to Actual Analysis.
The system also allows for easy user generated “What if” and Ad Hoc
reports. In addition, ISUN built several safe guards into the
program in order to prevent entry errors, and maintain consistent
data. |

We knew that we needed to change
from our previous management software. Order Entry,
Scheduling, Event Tracking, Proof Transmittal, and every other
process through Shipping and Fulfillment went too slowly and
with too much effort. Communicating spec changes and
accounting for them was done verbally and by manual entry. The
forms and reports were difficult to follow and impossible to
change without huge programming fees. We were still printing
quality work for demanding customers. We were just expending
too much effort to do it. |
